The harsh and dense shadow produced by the hard light from direct flash is a usual problem to affect the quality of image. When taking a photo with flash which light up the object from a direct light to cause the image too hard and a dense shadow behind the object. And, direct flash will cause of false skin tones during portrait photography usually.

A Bounce card could solve these problems. When attaching a bounce card to the upward flash head, the bounce card can minimize the direct light and it will reflect the light from flash unit to strew on the object with multiple direction and even density.
