The Manfrotto PIXI is designed for all compact cameras, but is particularly designed with Compact System Cameras (CSC). It is lightweight, portable and designed to be easy to use. It is designed to give a comfortable grip with the legs closed which would make it suitable for video use.

A push-button mechanism, with the Manfrotto logo, releases and locks the ball head with one push in, or to release simply let go of the button and the head is locked into position. The tripod is made out of plastic (which Manfrotto call Adapto) and stainless steel, and rubber feet can be found at the end of each leg. A universal 1/4inch screw thread means the PIXI can be used with the iPhone with KLYP (or alternative adapter), compact cameras, CSCs and entry level Digital SLRs - although there are some recommendations for the maximum size and weight of the DSLR used - details below:
